Bathroom affairs...

Lately I have been wondering about bathroom affairs. Please do not take me wrong for the title as I intend to only analyze upon the amount of time consumed by one for bathroom showers and nothing else.

One of my friends takes a long long time in the bathroom early morning while getting ready for work. I really wonder as how deep can one be in love with his own body? What does really go behind the extra minutes spent to take care and wash every square inch of one's epidermis? While some people, including myself, hardly take any time in there. I breakfast for more time than I spend in the shower.

After observing a number of instances over time I have finally come to the following conclusion. Those who spend that sweet little extra time of theirs in the bathroom are one of the following:
  1. Miserably single
  2. Living in a world of their own
  3. Suffering from narcissism

While those who are quickies are either happily committed or they do not give a damn to anything in this world, least their looks. There might be exceptions though in both of the above cases.

So what do you all think about the same? How plausible does it sound? That was a quick post. Now I will go to take a shower and be back soon.

Someone is watching you...

Have you ever felt some invisible force always around you, like a protective sheath moving in tandem with your steps, always covering you, always protecting you?

Have you ever enjoyed watching kids play from your window? Have you ever looked, without being noticed, at a young boy helping her disabled grandmother cross the streets? Ever laid your benevolent eyes to watch a young girl sitting on a bench besides the fountain in the park?

I think someone is always watching you. Intentionally or unintentionally they are providing invisible protection to you no matter which corner of the world you are in.

I wish you people to ponder over this thought, while I close my eyes again to watch .....

Tag time

I was tagged by Pria, and as I read along the tag, I immediately picked it up. There are set of sentences and I need to elaborate my views about each of them. So here we roll...

1) It is important to be liked by others : Hmm...no. Nope, it is not important to be liked by others.
I do not believe in utilitarianism and this one being on tangential lines, I do not believe one can be liked by everyone else.

2) Obedience is a virtue.
I would reward the one who can explain this phrase to a monkey.
P.S. - Ever heard of Darwin's theory of evolution?

3) People are not malicious but they become so because of bad experiences or circumstances.
Before writing this, did anyone question the psychology of a 5 yr old kid who goes to school and shoots his classmates? What kind of bad experiences or circumstances has that kid seen in a couple of days since he started walking? I have a very much mixed opinion here. I believe the above sentence is correct but some people have, I think, mutated genes.

4) Education broadens our view and makes people more humane.
I seriously doubt this one. I have seen enough counter examples to disprove the above written line. I would rather rephrase this one as - "Education broadens the views of the broad-minded and makes the humane a little more humane." But those who are born brutes, remain so for their lives.

5) People who have no money troubles are happier.
I do not think so. People who do not have money troubles might have other grave troubles to face. I rank emotional trouble as the first one on the list. People who are mentally and emotionally stable are more happier.

6) As people get older they get wiser.
I believe, "Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone."

7) You can live on love and fresh air.
One really can with but if he lives in Eden garden. You need to pop-in once in a while in the real world to get some Italian food though. :)

8) There is a celestial guardian angel looking after each one of us.
I would like to invent a celestial bike to meet my guardian angel. :)) Just kidding. I really do believe in this one.

9) All living beings reincarnate.
Let it be. At least I wish to be born in another galaxy after death. Why??? Just for the heck of it. Ain't you fond of seeing places???
An important tangential question here - Will I be able to log in to my Blogger account from the second world?

10) Heaven and Hell are places you go to after death.
May be. Who cares once we are dead? Better focus on living a better life than to worry about afterlife.

My answers might sound funny, but I have written it with utmost sincerity. Please do not read the literal meaning of things. :)

Also this tag is open to all my readers who wish to pick it up. Enjoy working on it. :)

A Journey Unknown...

I made a big decision a little while ago.
I don't remember what it was, which prob'ly goes to show
That many times a simple choice can prove to be essential
Even though it often might appear inconsequential.

I must have been distracted when I left my home because
Left or right I'm sure I went. (I wonder which it was!)
Anyway, I never veered: I walked in that direction
Utterly absorbed, it seems, in quiet introspection.

For no reason I can think of, I've wandered far astray.
And that is how I got to where I find myself today.

Explorers are we, intrepid and bold,
Out in the wild, amongst wonders untold.
Equipped wit our wits, a map, and a snack,
We're searching for fun and we're on the right track!

The Damn Planets

First off, an image that I came across recently demonstrating the apocalypse with a dose of soft sugary chill-pill. RELAX: should we really?

But try to imagine the apocalypse of any other planet than earth, say Mercury. What would happen then? Would that have any effect one earth?

Well, I think it will have quite some effect on earth. At least to the people who hold a deeply rooted belief in Astrology. A planet will vanish in day from all the calculations that are used to predict future.

So what would happen then? Will everything change? Will it doom all the people who have mercury in an ascending position on their 12-boxed play card called horoscope? Or will everything be just as normal as possible and earth will go on without taking a notice of the cosmic accident?

The truth is, neither do I know the answers to all these questions nor do I even care anymore about them. But I am ranting them out here so as to express my fury on the ones who believe in nothing else that astrology.

After some telephonic conversation during the morning drive, I was super-pissed on the astro crap that is presumed to be acting as the guiding path to some people I know and hence, this post was brought to life. It might seem to be totally non-coherent thoughts to some, but that is the way my mind is set right now.
